THE MAN WHO STARTED IT ALL

John was raised on a family farm near Stroh, Indiana where he was instilled with family values and a strong work ethic.  He graduated from Prairie Heights High School and later obtained an engineering degree from Tri-State University.  After working in the automotive industry for a few years, he obtained his law degree from the Indiana University School of Law, graduating in the top 30% of his class.  During law school, John interned at the Indiana Farm Bureau headquarters in Indianapolis, where he assisted with developing favorable policies and laws for Indiana farmers.

Within a short time of starting to practice law, John knew he wanted to focus on farm and ag-law to help other farmers, and thus started his own law practice in 2011. John has been a farmer his entire life and continues to farm in Cass County, Indiana, on his family’s farm, raising corn, wheat, and soybeans.   He is also active with his children’s 4-H livestock projects.

John has contributed articles to Farm World Magazine, Indiana Prairie Farmer Magazine, the Indianapolis Star, and various local newspapers.  In addition, he has provided seminars at national farm shows, soil and water events, as well as other events.

John practices in the areas of Agricultural Law, Farm Succession Planning, Real Estate Law, Estate Planning, Farm Service Agency Matters, USDA Matters, Grain Contracts, 1031 Transactions, and practically all things farm related.
